4-6 November: UEPC holds its bi-annual meetings in Utrecht
On Wednesday 4 November UEPC held its working groups on accessibility and VAT rates.
On Thursday, the Joint Committee was held. Two representatives from "Milieu" gave a presentation about the fitness check in the construction sector. Many participants were interested and asked questions about the way forward.
Other topics of discussion included permit procedures, state aid & social housing, UEPC's role in international fora, financing residential markets and sustainable buildings.
On Friday morning the members participated in the working group on energy efficiency. They carefully listened to the presentation given by Onno Dwars about zero energy housing in the Netherlands. Further on the working group's president explained in detail UEPC's response to the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive consultation.
In the afternoon, the Board of Directors and General Assembly meetings were held. The main topics of discussion were UEPC's membership strategy, the budget forecast and most importantly, its new working structure with "work streams": economics & fair competition, taxation, finance, standardization and energy & environment.
