European Commission invites UEPC to participate in new thematic groups


Further to High Level Forum, the European Commission has invited UEPC to nominate experts to participate in the following  thematic groups:
  • Thematic  Group 1 on Stimulating investment in Renovation & Innovation to stimulate investment and financing in building renovation as well as infrastructure works, and to accelerate the uptake of innovative solutions by the value chain.
  • Thematic  Group 2 on Skills & Qualifications  to identify approaches for adapting skills and education and training to market developments and societal careers, for a better working environment and career management, and a greater mobility of construction employees.
  • Thematic  Group 3 on Sustainable use of natural resources to formulate a pragmatic approach to make life cycle thinking and assessment in construction more cohesive and accessible.
  • Thematic  Group 4 on Internal Market for the elaboration of concrete recommendations to reduce administrative burden, overlaps, gaps and inconsistencies in EU and national legislation, especially in the context of cross-border services.
  • Thematic  Group 5 on International competitiveness to suggest practical approaches to strengthen the competitive position of EU construction sector.
UEPC selected its representatives:
  • Thematic Group 1: Mr Tiberiu Andrioaiei from the Ownership of Romanian Contractors and Ms Marta Torres from Asprima (Spain);
  • Thematic Group 2: Mr John Slaughter from the Home Builders Federation (UK) and Mr Tiberiu Andrioaiei from the Ownership of Romanian Contractors;
  • Thematic Group 3: Mr John Slaughter from the Home Builders Federation (UK) and  Mr Paul Muyldermans from SA IMMOBEL (Belgium);
  • Thematic Group 4: Ms Marta Torres from Asprima (Spain) andMr Tiberiu Andrioaiei from the Ownership of Romanian Contractors;
  • Thematic Group 5: Mr Tiberiu Andrioaiei from the Ownership of Romanian Contractors.
